A prenup, drafted with the same care as the wedding.

A well-built prenuptial agreement protects what each of you brings to a marriage, without putting you on opposite sides of a table.

Who This Is For

A prenup isn’t about distrust. It’s about clarity.

Most couples we work with are coming to a prenup for one of these reasons. None of them are dramatic. All of them are practical.

Family wealth & inheritances

When one or both of you stand to inherit (or already have), a prenup keeps that wealth on the family side of the line, where it was meant to stay.

A second marriage with children

When you've done this once and learned. A prenup honors what you're building together while protecting what each of you owes the children you already have.

A business you built

Especially when partners or shareholders are involved. The wrong divorce decree can put a co-founder across the table from your business. Prenups prevent that.

Significant disparity in assets or income

When one of you arrives at the marriage with substantially more, or expects to. A clear agreement is kinder than ten years of unspoken expectations.

Estate-plan integration

A prenup that doesn't talk to your trust is a problem waiting to happen. We draft them in the same room.

Not sure if you need one?

A conversation with us will tell you. We’ll tell you straight if a prenup isn’t worth the cost for your situation.

How a Prenup Comes Together

Four steps. One quiet signing.

We start at least sixty days before the wedding. Anything less and the agreement is harder to enforce later; Colorado law looks for time to consider it.

01

Initial consultation, separate counsel

We meet with you to understand your situation. We cannot represent both sides, but it's critical to ensure both parties are represented by their own counsel. A prenup without separate counsel is more difficult to enforce.

02

Full financial disclosure

Both of you exchange complete schedules of assets, debts, and income. This isn't optional; an agreement signed without it can be unwound. We make the schedules easy to assemble.

03

First draft & negotiation

One attorney drafts and the other attorney reviews. You and your fiancé can decide which attorney does which. Most points come back agreed; a few get redlined. We expect 1-3 rounds and we keep them respectful. This is paperwork, not a fight.

04

Signing, well before the wedding

Final document, witnesses, notary. We aim to wrap at least thirty days ahead of the ceremony; signed under pressure is a defect a court can later use to set the agreement aside.

What It Costs

A fixed fee. Quoted upfront.

Prenup fees track disclosure, separate property, business ownership, and how many passes the drafts take.

Includes all drafting, two rounds of revision, and the signing meeting.
You’ll receive a transparent fixed-fee quote at the conclusion of your free consultation, tailored to your matter, before any engagement begins.
A free consultation. No obligation.
